Favorite Things

I thought I would share a few of my favorite things that I am using this year to help me study God's word.

The first being the Scripture Reading Plan I am using provided by the Journey church. I like it because if you get behind it is easy to get caught up. :)

The second is what I am using to help me memorize verses. I have always wanted to memorize Philippians and shared that desire with my husband. He directed me to this site which has a VERY helpful guide to memorizing Philippians!

Christmas Morn

Christmas was on Sunday this year so we had to get up early to open our Santa gifts!

Digging in to her stocking! :)

trying out her new harmonica that Santa forgot to give her last year. ;)

Pleased with the "loot" in her stocking! ;)

Take a look: rings, lip gloss, harmonica, gum, compact mirror, pencil box, gummies

Pretty Ariel gown
Santa also brought a guitar and a few other things...not sure what happened to Mommy's picture taking. :/

Sandy Claus

Our favorite Santa, Sandy Claus, is at North Hills so we had to make a visit this year. Unfortunately we missed the tree lighting that we LOVE but were so thankful to get to see him. Emma had a little present to give him too! ;)

Blake and Brady telling them all they want.

I love this picture...I need to fix the lighting on it!

 I want, I want, I want ;)

The AMAZING sketch of Santa that I lady was doing while we were there!
LOVE IT!

Emma gave Santa a little ornament like this. I just LOVE this picture of Santa kneeling at the stable.
Jesus IS the true reason for the season!

Church Bells

Our sweet little preschool choir sang and rang the bells one morning in church. I had watched Emma practice a couple of nights and she was always the loudest one singing and the best bell ringer there. Well, when she got up to "perform" in front of the church her anxiety set in. Her finger hurt...there was a hangnail and her stomach hurt so...instead of singing, she cried. It was pitiful. I felt so bad for her.

You can get a glimpse of the drama from these pictures but trust me, the PAIN of watching her...is not here.

K4 Christmas Musical

Little Lambs always does a Christmas musical and an Easter Musical. I LOVE getting to hear the kids sing and watching them do the motions. They are all so funny! The pictures below speak for themselves and are really just to document are sweet girl!

Overnight Ice Cream Cinnamon Rolls

Overnight Ice Cream Cinnamon Rolls
This is a yummy delicious recipe to make when you have guests. They have a kind of toffee/caramal/maplish taste. They are so gooey and yummy! Such a fattning treat!

3/4 c brown sugar
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c butter
3/4 c vanilla ice cream
1 pkg. Pillsbury frozen cinnamon rolls (don't use the icing)
3/4 cups chopped pecans (optional - I did not use them)

Grease 9x13 pan if they are the large cinnamon rolls, if not grease an 8x8 pan.
Lay frozen rolls in the pan on top of pecans (if you use them)
Combine all the other ingredients in a pan and boil for one minute. Poor over frozen cinnamon rolls.
(The picture above shows the boiled mixture over top)

Place the pan in the oven and let it sit overnight.
The following morning, leave the rolls in the oven during preheat and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until the tops are slightly browned.

You can serve them as is out of the pan or turn the pan upside down in another dish to serve.
SO YUMMY!

Fall Pictures

Emma's fall school pictures which are absolutely wonderful! I LOVE their work!
