Favorite Things

I thought I would share a few of my favorite things that I am using this year to help me study God's word.

The first being the Scripture Reading Plan I am using provided by the Journey church. I like it because if you get behind it is easy to get caught up. :)

The second is what I am using to help me memorize verses. I have always wanted to memorize Philippians and shared that desire with my husband. He directed me to this site which has a VERY helpful guide to memorizing Philippians!

Resurrection Rolls

You start out with a can of crescent rolls, 8 marshmallows, 1 stick of butter, 2T cinnamon and 2T sugar mixed together.

The Marshmallow is pure and white and represents Jesus' body.

They prepared his body for burial by placing perfume on Him
(dip the marshmallow in butter and coat on all sides)

 and spices.
(roll the marshmallow in the cinnamon/sugar mixture until well coated)

Then they wrapped his body in cloths.
(Fold the crescent roll around the marshmallow and seal the edges well)

Then they placed his body in the tomb.
(Place the crescent rolls in the oven and cook as directed on the crescent roll package.)

Sometimes the insides ooze out during cooking but the goal is for the insides to be "empty" just like the tomb  was empty when they went to visit Jesus' body. He is RISEN!

Eat these while they are warm. They are so delicious! :)
