Day 8 - Lappeenranta

Today we went shopping again in Lappeenranta. It is a larger town about 30 minutes away. There are bigger stores and there is a kind of "craft" mall where local artists have things for sale. There are many nice and neat things but all expensive no matter how small. EG was a little character today. We ended our day with a meal at McDonald's once we got back to Imatra. This was EG's first meal at McDonald's...we tend to frequent Chik-fil-a in the states!

EG woke up this morning, was getting her diaper changed and saw her Mommy's old boots and wanted to put them on and walk around the house. It was so funny!

I got back to the car from shopping and saw my baby girl reading a Finnish magazine!

I knew she was smart!

The boats are brought up to dry land, raised up and covered for the long winter.

Even the dinner boats are put up on dry ground.

This boat is still in the water (or ice) we think that this boat is used to help break up the ice.

For EG's first McD's visit we had to come all the way to Imatra, Finland! Ha!

Day 7 - Stayed In

Today was a lazy day...there are no churches that have services in English so we watched Olive Baptist, in Pensacola online this evening. We woke up late, had a big breakfast and bummed around the house. We got out for a little walk this afternoon. The snow is melting and everytime we get out it is like walking in a dirty, giant slushy...yuck! We had a little hoola dancer entertain us today...she danced a little and then showed us how to play with some noise making toys. Fun, Fun!

Day 6 - The Snow is Melting :(

Uh, Oh...all dirty and wet...EG was looking back and fell into a

big puddle of dirty, icy water. Yuck!

"I love driving through the grocery store!"

EG got in trouble because she wouldn't stay seated while driving so

she had to sit in a basket on top...not nearly as fun!

"Maybe I should obey next time."

Day 5 - Mostly Shopping

Day 4 - Daddy/Daughter Time!

Dad and I have now skiied on 3 continents...4 more to go!

I love the times I get to spend with dad doing 'our things'. They are times I will always cherish.

It was snowing really hard while we were skiing...so fun!

Over the last 3 days it has snowed over 16 inches.

Happy Easter to us! This is the most snow they have had all winter...it is spring now!
